Climate scientists have issued a shocking statement that the 'climate emergency' is over.

A two-day climate conference in Prague, organised by the Czech section of the international Climate Intelligence Group (Clintel), which took place on 12 and 13 November at the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic in Prague, "declares and confirms that the supposed and imaginary 'climate emergency' is over".

The communiqué, prepared by the leading scientists and researchers speaking at the conference, makes it clear that climate scientists have been systematically exaggerating the impact of CO2 on global temperatures for decades .

High-level scientific conference statement

"The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which excludes participants and published papers that disagree with its narrative, fails to comply with its own protocol for reporting errors and draws conclusions some of which are unfair, should be dismantled immediately."

The statement supports the conclusions of the important Clintel report The Frozen Climate Views of the IPCC [presented to the conference by Marcel Crok, co-founder of Clintel].

In addition, scientists at the conference stated that even if all countries switched to net zero emissions immediately, the world would be only 0.1 C cooler by the 2050 target date than it would be without emission reductions.

So far, efforts to mitigate climate change through international agreements such as the Paris Climate Agreement have had no impact on our impact on the climate, as countries such as Russia, China, India and Pakistan continue to substantially increase their burning of coal, oil and gas.

The cost of achieving that 0.1°C global warming reduction is $2 trillion, equivalent to global gross domestic product over 20 years.

Finally, the conference "calls on the entire scientific community to stop persecuting scientists and researchers who disagree with the current official narrative on climate change and instead re-encourage the long and noble tradition of free, open and uncensored scientific research, investigation, publication and discussion".

Full text of the communiqué

The International Scientific Conference of the Climate Intelligence Group (Clintel), in the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic in Prague, convened on the twelfth and thirteenth day of November 2024, has decided and now declares the following, namely:

1. The slight increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that has occurred since the end of the Little Ice Age has proven to be of net benefit to humanity.
2. The likely future increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases is also likely to be net beneficial.
3. The rate and extent of global warming have been and continue to be significantly lower than climate scientists have long predicted.
4. The sun, not greenhouse gases, has contributed and will continue to contribute to the vast majority of global temperatures.
5. Geological evidence convincingly suggests that the rate and extent of global warming during the industrial age were neither unprecedented nor unusual.
6. By definition, climate models cannot tell us anything about how much the earth will warm and to what extent the warming is natural or man-made.
7. Global warming is likely to remain slow, minor, harmless and net beneficial.
8. There is broad agreement within the scientific community that extreme weather events have not increased in frequency, intensity or duration and are unlikely to do so in the future.
9. Although the world population has quadrupled over the past century, the annual average number of deaths due to climate- or weather-related events has fallen by 99%.
10. Global climate-related financial losses, expressed as a percentage of global annual gross domestic product, have declined and continue to decline, despite the increase in built infrastructure at risk.
11. Despite billions of dollars spent mainly in western countries on cutting emissions, global temperatures have continued to rise since 1990.
12. Even if all countries, not mainly Western countries, were to directly and collectively switch from the current trajectory to net zero emissions by the official target year 2050, the global warming avoided by that year would not exceed 0.05 to 0.1 degrees Celsius.
13. If the Czech Republic, the host of this conference, were to move directly to net zero emissions by 2050, it would only prevent 1/4000th degree of warming by that target date.
14. Retrieved frombased on the UK national electricity grid operator's estimate that preparing the electricity grid for net zero $ would cost 3.8 trillion (the only estimate whose cost has been correctly calculated), and based on the fact that the electricity grid is responsible for 25% of UK emissions and that UK emissions are responsible for 0.8% of global emissions, the global cost of achieving net zero $ would be 2 trillion, equivalent to 20 years' global annual GDP.
15. On a power grid where the installed rated capacity of wind and solar power exceeds the average demand on that grid, adding additional wind or solar power will hardly reduce the grid's CO2 emissions _,but significantly increase electricity costs while reducing revenues for both new and existing wind and solar producers.
16. The required sources of technometals to achieve net zero emissions globally are totally insufficient, even for one generation of net zero infrastructure over 15 years. So in practice, net zero is unachievable.
17. Because wind and solar power are expensive, irregular and more environmentally damaging per TWh generated than any other energy source, governments should no longer subsidise or prioritise these energy sources. Instead, they should expand electricity generation from coal, gas and especially nuclear power.
18. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) excludes participants and publishes articles disagreeing with its narrative. The panel does not follow its own protocol for reporting errors and draws conclusions some of which are unfair. The panel should be dismantled immediately.

Therefore, this conference hereby declares and confirms that the supposed and imaginary "climate emergency" is over.

This conference calls on the entire scientific community to stop persecuting scientists and researchers who disagree with the current official narrative on climate change. Instead, we want to rekindle the long and noble tradition of free, open and uncensored scientific research, publication and discussion.
